In a statement released on Wednesday, June 26, after the Tuesday, June 25, primary election, New York Republican Party Chair Ed Cox cheered the primary loss of Rep. Jamaal Bowman, the far-left “Squad” congressman best known for pulling a fire alarm in a Congressional office building when trying to obstruct a contentious congressional vote. Commenting on Rep. Bowman’s loss, Cox said that all socialists in the legislature should face a similar fate and be “rooted out” of office so they cause less harm, then added that it is great getting to watch Rep. Bowman finally face the consequences of his actions. Cox described those actions as “childish” and a “meltdown.” Cox said, “Good riddance, Jamaal. Every socialist in Congress and the State Legislature should likewise be rooted out of public office.” Continuing, he added, “Jamaal Bowman just faced the consequences of his disgraceful actions. Recently, the government of Slovakia announced that it would be boycotting the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics after the opening ceremony, which they described as an “insult” to Christianity.  Deputy Prime Minister Tomas Taraba of the leftist-populist government in Slovakia further blasted the display of “degenerate decadence” at the controversial opening ceremony. Subsequently, Taraba stated that he would cancel his trip to France, where he would attend the closing ceremony on behalf of his nation.  Many believe one of the performances, in particular, was an overt mockery of “The Last Supper,” a critical moment in Christianity in which Jesus shared his final meal with the apostles.  The Deputy Prime Minister has been covering specific duties in the wake of the failed assassination attempt against Prime Minister Robert Fico in May. In an early April 2024, segment, some of the co-hosts on ABC’s “The View,” particularly far-left Joy Behar, went on the attack against WWE personality and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson after he said that he wouldn’t endorse Joe Biden again in the 2024 election because of how badly things have gone under his watch. Though President Biden has now dropped out of the race, the incident remains one of the funnier incidents in which “The View” had a Biden-related meltdown. As background, during an early April interview with Fox News Channel’s Will Cain on “Fox & Friends,” Johnson indicated that he regrets endorsing Biden in 2020 and said that he won’t do so again in this election cycle. Pennsylvania Republican Senate Candidate Dave McCormick recently attacked his Democratic opponent, Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), by releasing a devastating anti-Kamala Harris ad.  Vice President Harris has faced heightened scrutiny before the election as she assumed the part’s presumptive nominee status amid Joe Biden dropping out of the race. The advertisement follows Casey endorsing Harris in her presidential bid as the “best person” to lead the party and defeat former President Donald Trump in November.  The ad highlights a number of issues with Harris, such as how she was rated as the most liberal senator and she touted ending the filibuster to pass the radical Green New Deal. “With women’s rights, workers’ rights, and voting rights on the line, the stakes of this election for Pennsylvania and the Nation couldn’t be higher.  Vice President Harris has been leading on those fights and as a former prosecutor, she will draw a clear contrast between herself and former President Trump. Given the timing, President Joe Biden’s remarks to a reporter on Tuesday, July 29, led to no small amount of mockery and dark-humor hilarity online. Those remarks were about how he wants his legacy with young Americans to be that he “cured the economy.” That came just days before a market crash, leading to derisive comments. As background, the market crashed on the night of Sunday, August 4, and then upon the market opening on Monday, August 5. The cause appears to have been mix of a surprise Japanese rate hike, causing a Japanese market sell off, and fears about a recession in the US, with some calling it the “Kamala Crash.” Biden, in any case, was asked about his legacy by a reporter when he was returning to the White House from a trip. Once home to 10,000 people, Bodie boomed in the 1870s and 1880s, when gold was found in the hills surrounding Mono Lake. It’s now a State Historic Park, with some parts of the town preserved in a state of “arrested decay”—think tables with place settings and shops stocked with supplies. The haunted history of Bodie’s beginnings The town of Bodie began much like many boomtowns of the 19th century: with a euphoric discovery of gold!  The lucky prospector who made the fateful find was William (aka Wakement or Waterman) Bodey, who had been tirelessly searching in the area for 10 years. Once he got a glimpse of gold in the hills around modern-day Bodie, he and a group of friends founded a mining camp in 1859. But, fate turned on the prospector that same year when he got lost in a blizzard on his way to Monoville. His body was found the following spring, and his mining buddies memorialized him by calling their new town Bodey, later to be changed to Body and then Bodie. The US supreme court has declined to halt Donald Trump’s upcoming sentencing for his conviction in state court in New York on felony charges involving hush money paid to an adult film star, Stormy Daniels, and a related gag order until after the 5 November election. The decision by the justices came in response to a lawsuit by the state of Missouri claiming that the case against Trump infringed on the right of voters under the US constitution to hear from the Republican presidential nominee as he seeks to regain the White House, Reuters reports. Trump is set to be sentenced on 18 September in Manhattan. He was found guilty in May of all 34 counts of falsifying business records in a criminal hush-money scheme to influence the outcome of the 2016 election. He is the Republican party nominee for president in the election in November, facing Kamala Harris for the Democrats.

A tiny, shivering  puppy was found abandoned in a cruel and heartless manner. Wrapped in a damp blanket, he was left to fend for himself near a bustling park. It was a scene that tugged at the heartstrings of anyone who witnessed it. The little creature was immediately taken to the Sacramento SPCA, a beacon of hope for countless animals in need. A Puppy’s Journey from Abandonment to Love Upon examination, it became clear that this  puppy was not like the others. He struggled with a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological disorder affecting the brain. This difference made him appear unusual and led to his cruel abandonment. It’s a heartbreaking reality that many animals face: rejection due to something beyond their control. A  Puppy’s Journey from Abandonment to Love A Fighting Spirit Despite the challenges he faced, the  puppy, later named Petey, exhibited an indomitable spirit. The dedicated staff at the Sacramento SPCA refused to give up on him. They understood that with the right care and support, Petey could overcome his obstacles. Physical therapy sessions were initiated to help him build strength and coordination, while love and affection provided the emotional support he desperately needed.
