A recent Joe Biden press conference descended into chaos as the reporters shouted questions at the president, who appeared unable to handle the disorganized situation.  As Biden was being indecipherably yelled at, he scanned the room from the podium with a slight grin on his face. Eventually, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was forced to interject and bring the room back to order. Former president Jimmy Carter has been into hospice for some time now, but he still gathered the strength to attend the funeral and the memorial service of his loving wife of 77 years, Rosalynn Carter, who passed away at the age of 96 on November 19, 2023. During the final hours of her rich life, Jimmy was by his wife’s side. His son said that he asked to spend some time alone with her so that the two could talk to one another with their beds placed one next to another. The funeral service was held at Maranatha Baptist Church, where Jimmy Carter and the former first lady worshipped. Earlier tributes were held in nearby Americus and in Atlanta. Jimmy arrived in a wheelchair, wearing a black suit and a blanket bearing his and Rosalynn’s faces in her honor. Unfortunately, Jimmy’s health is deteriorating as well. Multi-billionaire Elon Musk recently appeared alongside former President Trump during his return to Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of the failed assassination attempt in mid-July.  Musk, who formally endorsed Trump after he was nearly killed when a bullet grazed his ear, sounded off on President Joe Biden while stressing the need for Americans to get out and vote Republican.  Vice President Kamala Harris’ lead over former President Donald Trump in the election betting markets narrowed to a single point, amid a surge in bets favoring the Republican candidate as polling numbers continued to show a tight race in nearly all key swing states According to the Election Betting Odds tracker, which consolidates betting numbers from five major markets, bookmakers give Harris a 50.1% chance of winning in November, one point higher than Trump’s 49.1%. This marks a major shift from last week, when odds favoring Harris were 3.5 points higher than Trump’s. The biggest boost for Trump’s odds has come from bookmakers on the crypto-based betting platform Polymarket, who now predict the former president is a slight favorite with a 50.8% chance of winning, compared to Harris’ 48.2%. Bettors on PredictIt, the market where Harris has consistently led Trump over the past month, now give the vice president 54 cents per share (roughly equating to a 54% chance) compared to Trump’s 50 cents per share. Donald Trump has been briefed by US intelligence on threats from Iran to assassinate him, his campaign said. The Republican presidential candidate was briefed “regarding real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States”, the campaign said in a statement. During a recent campaign event in Michigan, a local reporter was booed by the crowd of Trump supporters when asking JD Vance a question.  During recent rallies hosted by the Trump-Vance campaign, supporters have continually booed reporters, demonstrating a frustration with the media, which has ramped up its hostile rhetoric against former President Donald Trump and JD Vance.
