It has been said that Donald Trump is in very good health. However, concerns regarding his wellbeing have been raised multiple times in subsequent years. In recent months, there have been rumors that he may have worn a catheter, among other things. Now, a doctor has stated that the president exhibits symptoms of dementia.
As of right now, Donald Trump is the oldest American president to begin a second term. Although there have been questions about Trump’s suitability for the position, a report released in April by White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella stated that Trump is completely qualified to serve as Commander-in-Chief.
According to the report, Trump weighed 224 pounds and stood 75 inches tall. He also had regular scans of his heart, neck, throat, eyes, and ears. Barbabella revealed that in 2024, the president had a colonoscopy.
It was also discovered during that doctor’s visit that Trump had diverticulitis, an inflammation in the colon’s pockets, and a benign polyp. He would then have a follow-up colonoscopy in three years, it was decided.
According to Donald Trump’s medical report, he also had a number of prescription drugs, including one for cholesterol, another for heart prevention, and a cream to apply as needed for a “skin condition.”
Barbabella added that Trump is in “robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function” and mentioned that the president had undergone bilateral cataract surgery at one point. Trump’s “active lifestyle is helping his well-being,” he concluded.
Donald Trump’s health examination
In April, Barbabella declared, “President Trump is in excellent physical and mental health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Health of State.”
Shortly after the test, Trump told reporters, “I took a cognitive test. And aside from the fact that I answered all of the questions correctly, I’m at a loss for words. I simply underwent numerous tests, some of which had to do with the heart and others with other topics.
One physician now asserts that Donald Trump may not be as healthy as he claims to be, despite some doubting the veracity of the most recent medical evaluation he had. According to specialist psychologist Dr. John Gartner, Trump’s motor skills seem to be declining, according to The Irish Star.
Furthermore, reports that Trump may be hiding a catheter under his trousers may be a sign that the US president is suffering from frontotemporal dementia, a particular kind of dementia.
According to the Irish Star, Dr. John Gartner stated on The Dean Obeidallah Show, “When we talk about deterioration from dementia, I was focusing on language because that’s the thing we most observe, but also we always see deterioration in motor performance.”
Donald Trump may have dementia, according to a doctor.
The physician went on to say that Donald Trump’s coordination has noticeably deteriorated in recent years. Additionally, Gartner examined old video of the president in order to identify three main signs that Trump may be suffering from dementia: he falls and tumbles, swings his leg, and changes the way his left leg functions.
In the 1980s, we discovered some of him participating in sports. I have a video of him playing volleyball. He was really coordinated, diving to dig the ball and popping up to hit a high shot,” he said. “And now, you know, he really struggles to climb the stairs; he trips and falls.”
He went on to say, “I hate to do a gotcha thing, ‘Oh he tripped on the stairs,’ but no, his gait is slow, he is falling,” noting that Donald Trump has a rather peculiar gait.
He went on, “The other thing that’s actually even more diagnostic, and I had a neurologist point this out, and then several neurologists confirmed it, if you watch the way he walks, he has what they call a leg swing, where his right he kind of swings it in a semicircle like it’s a dead weight, and he’s just kind of swinging it around.”
“Totally persuaded”
“That right leg swing is thought to be very diagnostic of a specific type of dementia, frontotemporal dementia,” Gartner continued, “although it’s very evident in some tape and not so much in others.”
After consulting with another colleague, Dr. Zoffman, the expert came to the conclusion that she was “completely convinced that it’s frontotemporal dementia that he has because of that telltale right leg swing.”
