President Donald Trump’s stance on the release or non-release of the Epstein files has made many of his supporters turn their backs on him. Recently, he has called it a “hoax” and has criticized his supporters as “weaklings” for falling for it.
At the same time, some support him, but one who doesn’t is Elon Musk. On X, the world’s richest man issued a scathing response to the president, stating that Trump’s theory has a significant flaw.
Donald Trump has gone on a spree after the fallout from his supporters over how his administration has handled the Jeffrey Epstein files. The non-released records in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation have made his supporters, and many others, furious.
Not least because of the amount of time he spent talking about it during his Presidential Campaign, making it a promise to release them if he were elected.
Not only has the Trump Administration said that the so-called client list doesn’t exist, but now Donald himself has lashed out against his supporters and even called the so-called “Epstein Files” a hoax created by the democrats.
“[T]hese Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at – It’s all they have – They are no good at governing, no good at policy, and no good at picking winning candidates,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Also, unlike Republicans, they stick together like glue. Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,’ hook, line, and sinker.”
Donald Trump calls his supporters “weaklings” over Epstein ‘hoax’
The president continued: “I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax. Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”
Moreover, on Tuesday, Trump even accused former President Barack Obama and former President Joe Biden of making up the documents. Former FBI Director James Comey was also involved, Donald told the press at the White House before heading to an event in Pennsylvania..
“I would say that, you know, these files were made up by Comey, they were made up by Obama, they were made up by the Biden…,” he said.
Many of Trump’s most dedicated followers have shared their furious reactions to Donald’s change of mind regarding the Epstein files. He essentially built his audience around it when it campaigned, but now, many have had enough.
As per The Guardian, one user wrote, “You’re losing your most loyal followers and voices, Mr President,” while another added, “Why are you protecting pedophiles?”
Elon Musk shares lethal blow to Donald Trump’s ‘Epstein Hoax’ theory
Another person who has had enough of Donald Trump, too, is Elon Musk. The world’s richest man, whose relationship with the president has deteriorated in recent months, took to X on Wednesday to comment on what Donald Trump called a “hoax”, by pointing out that Epstein’s right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell, is still in federal prison for sex trafficking on his behalf.
“Wow, amazing that Epstein ‘killed himself’ and Ghislaine is in federal prison for a hoax,” Musk wrote, pointing out the hole in Donald Trump’s “hoax” story.
Minutes later, the Tesla founder wrote another post saying that “not a single Epstein client has been prosecuted. Not even one.”
According to The Daily Beast, Musk wrote about Epstein 13 times in just over an hour on Wednesday, with all of them including criticism of Trump or agreeing with criticism of how the president has handled the Epstein controversy.
“So many powerful people want that list suppressed,” Musk responded in one X post, the site reported.
Elon Musk, who was once called “The First Buddy” by Trump, had a falling out with the president in June, when he claimed on X that Donald Trump “is in the Epstein files,” which is “the real reason they have not been made public.” He later deleted the post and apologized for some of the things he said.
