I Paid $6,500 for a Registered Black Angus Bull… and He Wouldn’t Even Look at a Cow

A few weeks ago, I made what I thought was a smart investment — I bought a registered Black Angus bull for $6,500. He was a fine-looking animal, strong build, good bloodline, and supposedly ready to get to work. Naturally, I was excited to introduce him to the herd. But as the days passed, I noticed something odd. Instead of doing what bulls are expected to do, he just grazed peacefully. Ate grass, wandered around, laid down… but didn’t show even the slightest interest in the cows. Not a sniff, not a glance, not a thing. At first, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was just settling in. But after a week of zero action, I started to worry. Had I just blown $6,500 on a glorified lawnmower? Time to Call the Vet Not wanting to jump to conclusions, I called the vet to come check him out. After a full examination, the vet gave his verdict: “He’s perfectly healthy.
