From the start, the situation seemed straightforward, and we weren’t expecting any complications. However, there were a few things that stood out to me as unusual, especially in how the scheduling of the surgery played out. Originally, the surgery was booked for a specific day, which we had both planned around. Then, about a week before that date, the hospital contacted her and said the surgery needed to be moved up due to what they called “a special situation” involving room availability.
