As my family and I sort through my late uncle’s estate, we’ve come across all kinds of treasures, keepsakes, and curiosities. But one item, tucked away inside a small wooden box, really has us scratching our heads.
It’s a strange little scoop — or maybe a spoon? — unlike anything we’ve seen before.
The scoop part is tiny, just about 0.25 inches wide, and the entire piece is about 4.75 inches long. At first glance, it almost looks like it could be some kind of measuring tool. But the real twist? The “handle” contains tiny metal balls that roll around freely inside. It’s both oddly precise and strangely playful.
