So I’m digging through an old, dusty box in the garage—the kind that looks like it hasn’t been opened since dial-up internet—and buried under a tangle of extension cords and mystery screws… I find this cone-shaped contraption.
Naturally, I pick it up like I’ve just looted rare treasure from a forgotten dungeon.
And immediately:
“Congratulations! You’ve unlocked a side quest: Identify the Ancient Tool of Unknown Purpose.”
I’m sitting there holding it, turning it over like some kind of confused archaeologist.
Metal cone. Solid weight. Narrow point. Slightly flared base.
Zero clue.
At first I’m like, Is this a weapon? A kitchen tool? A musical instrument? A cursed artifact?
The thing feels like it could equally belong in a workshop, a bakery, or a Viking longship.
So of course I did what any modern adventurer does:
I posted it here, hoping the collective wisdom of Facebook will solve this mystery before I accidentally summon a demon or use it backwards and lose a finger.
Tool experts—seriously.
What am I looking at?
Is it for woodworking? Leatherworking? Blacksmithing? Is it some old-school machinist tool? A vintage automotive gadget? A forgotten piece of farm equipment? Or is it literally just a fancy doorstop masquerading as something important?
Drop your theories, your expertise, your wild guesses.
Bonus points for side quest titles like:
- “The Cone of Confusion”
- “The Artisan’s Ancient Pokey Thing”
- “Rune-Engraved Traffic Pylon (Portable Edition)”
I swear, every time I find something in this garage, my life turns into a hidden-object game.
Help me complete this quest before I start assigning experience points to myself. 😂🛠️
What is this thing?!
