LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – A 5-year-old Lansing boy was hurt Monday afternoon after an “accidental” shooting, police told News 10.
According to LPD, the shooting happened just before 3:00 p.m. Monday on the 800 block of Vincent Court.
There, police found a 5-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. The child was taken to the hospital with “non-life threatening” injuries.
Police believe the gun was discharged “unintentionally.”
The shooting is still under investigation. Police did not share specifics on what caused the accidental discharge.
