Ozzy Osbourne’s LA Home: A Look Inside the Rock Legend’s Final American Chapter
A Life Lived in Los Angeles
For nearly four decades, Ozzy Osbourne called Los Angeles home. In 2015, he and Sharon settled into a stunning Mediterranean Revival estate in Hancock Park. After his passing on July 22, 2025, fans turned their eyes to the place that had been the backdrop to some of his greatest joys and deepest struggles.
A Heartbreaking Announcement
On the day of his death, a security guard stood outside their California home. In a statement, Sharon and their children shared their grief: “With more sadness than mere words can convey,” they confirmed Ozzy had passed away surrounded by family. Though they didn’t disclose the cause, they asked for privacy as they mourned.

From Birmingham to Hollywood
Ozzy rose to fame in England’s metal scene but spent much of his later life in America. Despite his success in the U.S., his connection to his British roots remained strong. In 2022, the couple announced they were moving back to the U.K. Ozzy candidly said, “I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in [expletive] Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to be back.”
Still, by late 2022, he confessed mixed feelings: “If I had my way, I’d stay in America. I’m American now.” That tug-of-war reflected his emotional bond with his adopted home.
The 2019 Fall That Changed Everything
Their LA residence held memories of both comfort and pain. In 2019, Ozzy fell inside the house while recovering from pneumonia. The accident aggravated old injuries from a 2003 ATV crash. He needed surgery, and it forced him to cancel tour plans.
A Grand Estate with Hollywood Flair
In 2015, Ozzy and Sharon bought the 11,500-square-foot estate for nearly $12 million. They later listed it in 2022 for $18 million after major renovations. The home blends classic architecture with modern luxury. Originally built in 1929 by architect A.K. Kellogg, it features six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and a guest apartment. An elevator connects every floor.

A Home That Reflects a Legacy
Sharon often gave fans a glimpse inside via Instagram. The interiors offered warmth and elegance: rich wood flooring, cozy armchairs, shelves filled with books and keepsakes. Natural light poured in through tall windows, brightening every room.
A plush, red screening room with a fireplace signed by Rita Moreno and Nancy Sinatra added vintage glamour. Meanwhile, the primary suite provided full luxury with a sitting area, dual bathrooms, and walk-in closets.
Everyday Comfort with Rock Star Charm
The home felt lived-in and loved. Oversized couches, soft throws, and family pets made it personal. A sunroom filled with plants and wicker chairs offered a peaceful retreat. A mosaic-tiled pool and outdoor dining area added to the charm.
More Than a House
Ozzy Osbourne’s Los Angeles home wasn’t just a place to live — it was a part of his story. It reflected a life of music, family, and resilience. And though he longed to return to England, LA remained a place where his legacy flourished.
