In another rare public appearance for former First Lady Melania Trump, who appears to have been staying at the family’s New York City residence in Trump Tower in the weeks following the former president’s shocking conviction on all 34 felony counts brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, stunned with her tasteful and beautiful outfit. The vast chamber inside this abandoned cooling tower looks like something out of a sci-fi dystopia.  In a small neighborhood known as Monceau-sur-Sambre, within the Belgian town of Charleroi, sits an abandoned power station, the magnificent abandoned cooling tower of which still looms over the town no longer creating electricity, but providing plenty of dystopian vistas. Power Plant IM was originally built in 1921 and when it was finished, it was one of the largest coal-burning power plants in Belgium. Water would be let into the cooling tower where it would be cooled by the wind that swept in from portals in the base of the tower, releasing billowing columns of hot air. By 1977 the power plant and its massive tower was the main source of energy in the Charleroi area and is said to have been able to cool down 480,000 gallons of water per minute. By the 1970s new components were even added to the power plant that could also use gas power. However, the power plant’s days in the sun were numbered. One of the most important fortresses along the Danube now lies in ruins.  Fetislam is an Ottoman stronghold in ruins, situated near the city of Kladovo. Constructed during the Ottoman Empire’s reign in present-day Serbia, it served as a military outpost for Ottoman campaigns against Hungary. Built in 1524 under the directive of Suleiman the Magnificent, the fortress comprises of two sections, namely the “small city” and the “big city,” which were built during two different epochs. The name “Fetislam” originates from a Turkish term denoting the defender of the faith or the triumph of Islam, something like the “gate of Islam.” The part of the fortress known as “small city,” initially constructed in the 16th century, faced destruction by hajduks (outlaw highwaymen from all over the Balkans who targeted Ottomans in defense of Christians) in a single assault, leading to abandonment for a period. A subsequent fortification known as the “great fortress,” however, was soon erected in the 18th century. Throughout the 19th century’s array of Serbian-Turkish conflicts, the complex changed hands between Serbs and Turks. Liberal contributor to Fox News Channel Jessica Tarlov is back on “The Five,” and the verbal fights between her and her more conservative co-hosts, namely Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters, are already ramping back up. The latest incident came on the Tuesday, August 6 broadcast of “The Five.” That spat came when Tarlov brought up the infamous and false claim that former President Donald Trump told people to inject themselves with bleach during the Covid pandemic. As a reminder, Trump said that disinfectants like bleach would be looked into for whether they could sterilize an area. The White House transcript of the comment shows that Trump said, “And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that. So, that, you’re going to have to use medical doctors with. Last month, as Democrats weighed replacing Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee, reports emerged that the Trump campaign did not want the president to drop out of the race. This made perfect sense given that 1) Donald Trump was ahead in the polls and 2) their main line of attack—that Biden was too old and not physically up to the task—was clearly working. Unfortunately for Trump, Biden was replaced—and so the ex-president is majorly flailing in the face of his new competition. At a recent Trump rally in Atlanta, Georgia, an Asian immigrant went viral on social media after delivering a patriotic message outside the event.  The man emphasized that Georgia is “Trump country” while highlighting that conservative southerners much prefer delicious sweet tea over the “socialist Kool-aid” that the left offers. “This is Trump country.  We live in the southeast.  We drink sweet tea.  We don’t drink socialist Kool-Aid,” the man proclaimed during an interview with Right Side Broadcasting Network.  A clip of the proud immigrant Trump supporter quickly got traction on social media.  Conservative activist Philip Anderson shared the clip, writing, “Yo, this Asian immigrant just might become the next viral person of the year.” The video, which has nearly 3 million views as of writing this article, has sparked a wide range of responses on X.  “Does anyone know the name of the freedom loving Asian immigrant in the video? The legendary American motorcycle brand, Harley Davidson, recently came under fire after the woke agenda of its CEO, Jochen Zeitz, was exposed.  Conservative activist Robby Starbcuk has recently embarked on a mission to expose companies with woke agendas that would seemingly contradict the values of their consumer base. “It’s time to expose Harley Davidson,” Starbuck wrote on X, noting that it was time to set his sights on the company.  The political commentator exposed numerous leftist initiatives led by Zeitz within Harley Davidson, such as critical race theory; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); and the provision of transgender surgeries for children. “Jochen Zeitz is an unusual choice to lead Harley-Davidson. In a classic Joe Biden moment during the 2024 White House Easter Egg roll, President Biden approached a young girl at the event and, as often happens with little kids, she burst into tears. Predictably, the incident took off on Twitter, where people used it to mock the unpopular president and comment on how kids sometimes react to him. As background, one of the annual White House Easter events is the Easter Egg Roll. Around since the 1870s, children use spoons to push brightly painted eggs across the White House Lawn. This year, 40,000 people, about 10,000 more than last year, attended the event. The event was delayed this year by intermittent rain squalls.
