Everyone has that one kid

Posted on June 24, 2024June 24, 2024 By sg4vo No Comments on Everyone has that one kid

The antics of a cheeky toddler have gone viral after his mother shared a photo showing her youngest son hilariously setting himself apart from his brothers. Landon Daniels, 18 months, has won the hearts of millions for sticking a whole fish in his mouth instead of holding it in front of his body like his brothers Levi, four, Logan, three. The siblings had just been taken to a children’s museum in Brookings, South Dakota, where they each caught a fake fish they from a pond, their mother, Marika Daniels told Good Morning America. When Ms Daniels lined them up to take a photo of their catches, Landon opted to hold the rubber replica in his mouth, making for a hilarious internet meme that has since been shared thousands of times. “He’s just at that age where he puts everything in his mouth. They are rubber fish. They’re not real fish,” Ms Daniels, from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, said. “After I saw the picture I said, ‘Oh my gosh, this is actually kind of funny’, and apparently everyone else thought so too.” When Ms Daniels realised the photo was popular among her friends and family on Facebook, Ms Daniels plastered the text “every… CONTINUE READING…

Two tradesman set up for road work: one a veteran and the other a literalist rookie

“You just stand there by the ‘end road work’ work sign and direct folks through the orange cones”, says the veteran. “But I’m not sure I can do that, that’s a big responsibility to carry for a lot of people”. “Sure you can, it’s a simple job, they’ll get the message”. After the rookie contemplated his job a bit more, he decided to go the extra mile and called up several organizations to make sure his job would be done perfectly. After the veteran came back from lunch, he noticed the orange cones now had vip labels printed on them. Confused, he followed the path to the pothole they were fixing only to be met by hundreds of angry protestors all with “End Road Work” signs. Post Views: 220

Crispy Chilli Chicken

Crispy Chilli Chicken

Here’s my take on the one and only Chinese crispy shredded chicken, that’s coated in a delicious sweet and chilli sauce. Honestly, the flavours are amazing if I say so myself. This dish is actually one of the first takeaway recipes to ever blow up on my Instagram, so I know you guys love it too. Not only is this recipe a real crowd pleaser, but it’s moreish and very simple to put together. I like to separate this dish into three major sections: marinating the chicken in a soy sauce mixture, coating then frying the chicken, and finally glazing by tossing the crispy chicken in a sweet chilli sauce. Though this dish has its own unique stamp to it, I think it’s quite similar to my chilli crispy beef and honey chilli chicken recipe. If you’ve tried either recipe, then I think you’re likely to love this crispy chilli chicken too! Coating The Chicken In Cornflour Is A Must! To get chicken that’s ultra crispy on the outside and moist and tender in the middle, I couldn’t recommend using cornflour enough. It creates a crispy crackling coating which holds sauces a lot better than flour. Plus, as a bonus… using cornflour instead of flour makes this… CONTINUE READING…

DAUGHTER RIPS WIG OFF A GIRL WITH CANCER, FATHER FORCES HER TO SHAVE HER HAIR AS PUNISHMENT

As parents, we try to teach our kids to distinguish between good and wrong, but we frequently fall short for a variety of reasons. One father discovered that his daughter had been picking on a student with cancer at school. As parents, we try to teach our kids to distinguish between good and wrong, but we frequently fall short for a variety of reasons. One father discovered that his daughter had been picking on a student with cancer at school. The father eventually removed the post after receiving criticism for how he handled his bully daughter. “My ex-wife and I have a 16-year-old daughter together of which I have full custody (she has moved on with her new family)… My daughter recently got in trouble at school for making fun of a student that lost her hair from cancer treatment. Including pulling off her wig,” he started his post. “Apparently there is some pre-existing bad blood between the two of them, but I don’t think that even begins to excuse her behavior.” As it came out, they weren’t fond of each other because his daughter was now dating this other girl’s ex-boyfriend. “At some point the other girl mentioned how… CONTINUE READING…

The Forgotten Guardians: A Journey Into the World of Vintage Glass Fuses

A Glimpse into History The glass fuse, with its transparent casing and intricate inner workings, may seem like an artifact from a bygone era, but its story is one of innovation and practicality. Developed in the early 20th century, these fuses were a crucial component in protecting electrical circuits from overcurrent conditions. Their glass bodies allowed for quick visual inspection, revealing whether the thin wire inside had melted—a clear sign that the fuse had performed its duty by interrupting the flow of electricity. How They Work At first glance, a glass fuse might appear simple, but its design is both clever and effective. Inside each fuse is a delicate wire, carefully calibrated to melt when the current exceeds a safe level. This melting action breaks the circuit, preventing potential damage to electrical devices and reducing the risk of fire. In an age before digital diagnostics and automated safety systems, the glass fuse was a hands-on, tangible way to ensure electrical safety. The Allure of Vintage Why should we care about these vintage fuses today? For one, they offer a fascinating glimpse into the history of technology—a time when engineers had to find creative solutions to complex problems without the aid… CONTINUE READING…

Memories Of My Mother’s Clotheslines

Memories Of My Mother’s Clotheslines

In my travels to Portugal and Cuba I was struck by the use of clotheslines hanging from apartment dwellings that immediately took me back to when I was a child living both in the US and in Puerto Rico seeing my mom hang our washed clothes and linen on clotheslines in the backyard. The first time I had this reaction was when I was in Cuba and it immediately compelled me to take photos. To my surprise, when arriving in Portugal this practice was in abundance in cities such as Lisbon and Porto where hanging your clothes on your balcony or window for all the tourists to see was just priceless. Seeing these clotheslines brought back vivid memories of me helping my mom hang our clothes. I remember playing hide and seek with my siblings when white sheets of linen and towels were up, my mom shouting at us to get our dirty hands away from her clotheslines. Those memories have certainly ignited in me a desire to take photos of clotheslines as one of many of my photographic subjects. But it also had me thinking how this practice has disappeared in the US. I know that in Portugal and… CONTINUE READING…

Twice this week, I have watched an elderly individual fade into the busy life in which we all live. One man just needed Panadol for his wife, but the shop assistant simply said it’s in ‘6’. But he struggled to navigate the supermarket, and as I watched him go in the wrong direction, I left all my groceries and took him where he needed to go. Today, I watched an elderly man struggle in the heat. He had had a fall with a huge scrape and blood on his leg. He walked past people in the cafe while he slowly made his way to his car. Not one person stopped. Or looked. Or acknowledged him. I took him to his car and checked if he was okay. He told me he had a fall and wasn’t sure how the air conditioner worked in his car, so he just didn’t use it. I sat with him until his air conditioner kicked in and heard him talk about the frail old body that he is in, which fails him now every single day. When you see an elderly person walking down the street, searching in the supermarket, or struggling to get to their… CONTINUE READING…

A CAPPELLA RENDITION OF ‘GOD BLESS THE USA’ FEATURING HOME FREE, LEE GREENWOOD, AND THE US AIR FORCE BAND

The a cappella group Home Free presents their patriotic rendition of ‘God Bless The USA’ in collaboration with Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band. Originally released in 1984 by Lee Greenwood, ‘God Bless The USA’ was inspired by his desire to create a patriotic anthem, particularly after the tragic downing of Korean Air Lines Flight 007, marking a moment for national unity. The song climbed the country charts but became a cultural touchstone following the September 11th attacks. Lyrics like “And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free, and I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me” resonate deeply with listeners. Home Free, the American a cappella ensemble and winners of the fourth season of The Sing-Off, consists of Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance. Known for their distinctive vocal style, the group joins Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band for a moving performance of ‘God Bless The USA.’ Post Views: 205

IF YOU HAVE THESE CUPBOARDS ABOVE YOUR FRIDGE, YOU HAD BETTER KNOW WHAT THEY’RE USED FOR

There’s a lot to be said for a neat, tidy home where everything has its place. If you’re anything like me, you’ll find it extremely hard to focus when the place is a mess or you have the feeling that things aren’t precisely where they should be. Of course, that wasn’t always the case. When I was young I didn’t place much emphasis on organization around the house – I guess I’ve got my mother to thank for the fact that it always looked like it was ready to be pictured for an estate agent’s portfolio. She taught me many tips and trick too, my mother, amongst those the best ways to use those small cupboards many kitchens have above refrigerators. Know the ones I mean? Well, if you have them as well, read on to see how they might be best utilized. At first glance, the small cupboards you might find above the refrigerator might not look like they can be all that useful. They’re simply not big enough for some things, and having plates or cups up that high just simply isn’t practical. So, what to do with them? Well, if you’re at a loose end as to… CONTINUE READING…
