“Authorities Release Names of 119 Kerrville Flood Victims as Search Continues for Others”

KERRVILLE, Texas — Kerrville Mayor Joe Herring and Kerr County Judge Rob Kell have released the names of those who died in the devastating July Fourth floods that swept through the Hill Country. On Friday, the Texas Rangers confirmed the identities of the victims from the deadly holiday weekend flooding. “These names are not new to our community; they are our family, friends and neighbors, and they are forever engraved in our hearts,” the City of Kerrville said in a statement. Officials noted that two families are still searching for missing loved ones, holding out hope of bringing them home. The victims include several young girls who were staying at Camp Mystic when the flood hit.
